About the Project
'The Touch of the Arts' is a multi-phase Erasmus+ training course running from late 2024 to 2026. Spanning four countries - France, Spain, Greece, and Armenia - the project uses art as a transformative tool for the inclusion, acceptance and building of self-confidence and self-esteem in young people with disabilities. Each phase is hosted by a different partner organization in a different country.
Phase 1 - Paris, France (December 4–9, 2024)
The opening chapter launched in Paris. Participants were introduced to using art as a tool for inclusion and acceptance, exploring how creative expression can strengthen the self-confidence and self-esteem of young people with disabilities. This phase set the foundation for the entire multi-country journey.
Phase 2 - Ciudad Real, Spain (November 2–7, 2025)
Hosted in Ciudad Real, Spain, this phase explored theatre and interconnected arts - pantomime, music, dance, and painting - and how these art forms can act as transformative tools for the inclusion of young people with disabilities. Participants developed practical workshop skills to bring back to their communities.
Phase 3 - Athens, Greece (November 30–December 5, 2025)
Held in Athens, Greece, this phase helped youth workers and young people understand how those with disabilities express themselves through art. The focus was on developing inclusive educational approaches and deepening the connection between artistic expression and social inclusion.
Phase 4 (Final) - Tsaghkadzor, Armenia (March 24–29, 2026)
The closing phase was hosted by IC-YEC in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia. This final chapter celebrated the learning journey of the entire project - bringing together all threads of art, inclusion and intercultural exchange. IC-YEC proudly welcomed the international group home to Armenia for this meaningful conclusion.
